Raise Dead & Resurrection
The Raise Dead & Resurrection spells are no longer a part of any class’s spell list. Instead, any class that has these as part of their spell lists gains these as class features. When a class can cast Raise Dead, he may instead use this spell as a class power an unlimited times per day. Similarly when he would otherwise be able to case Resurrection, he can instead use this as a class power an unlimited number of times per day. The powers operate exactly as the spells being cast, including time to cast, material components, effects, etc., except as noted below:
- The spell casting must be initiated within 1 rd/caster level of the target’s death.
- The target suffers 1 negative level as a result of being raised. This negative level is not permanent, but it lasts until the end of the next game session, at which point it is automatically removed. This negative level cannot be removed by any other means, magical or mundane.
